needforspeedmostwanted2012/guide. I hope this helps somewhat be able to play the game with the controller.
(theres also a Xbox 360 controller control if you wanna look at that instead).
Below i left a link for the controller guide for the PS3 version that i used to make it so its somewhat of a guide to map the "default" controller scheme. Its not a 100% fix you might have to go back and remap certain things for menues and such but it works. Your probs going to need to use your arrow keys for abit but it'll be fine when your done remaping. So once the beginning cutscene is over go into settings for the game and go down to where your "controls" are and remap them.(Assuming the game reads your pad). Stupid i know but once you remap them to your liking the controls work and your able to play the game. Navigate to: Gameplay Settings > Controls > Input Device > Switch to 'Unknown Device'. Then, in NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered do the following. In DS4 Windows: Disable exclusive mode: Settings > Uncheck 'Hide DS4 controller'. You have to go into settings and remap the controls to whatever the controls you want for the game. Disable all controller options in Steam big picture mode.
EA and its squad of developers could take lessons from just about every other studio out there on how to conduct a proper games business. So after being frustrated and returning the game something popped into my head i went back and got the game again to test something, the controller support is there and what i mean by that is it the game reads as if your still on M/kb. EA has gone for me personally, from a company who has provided me with many enjoyable memories over the years, to a company that I will now always doubt not only the quality of the product they are providing but also whether or not anyone will be there to help in the event that something doesn't work.
I never really understood all the hate that EA gets from the community, but after my experience with this game, and the way that nobody from this company wants to help paying customers, or better yet, deliver a decent product out of the gate I get why people feel the way they do. In order to fix these problems you need to visit the back end of the game software and follow the steps described below Goto My Computer- Documents-> Criterion Games-> Need For Speed(TM) Most Wanted-> Save-> 0 Open Control. When I told the "tech" that I was having trouble getting my controller to work the first thing he suggested was that I reset my modem and router. No developer threads with people listening and responding, and a totally clueless live support team through origin. I still can't find a list of system requirements for this game. Very difficult to get any real information. The website is like a 3 year old designed it. Also, I feel that I should comment on the seeming lack of interest on EA's part. It's quite annoying for this ONE GAME to require me to unplug my keyboard before playing. I have never seen a game behave like this before and think it's a bug that needs to be patched. If I unplug my keyboard before launching the game, it works perfectly. The issue is that the game sees my keyboard (Saitek Eclipse) as a game controller and it conflicts with my xbox controller. " So, I was having an issue with the game not recognizing my microsoft wireless xbox 360 controller and discovered the issue.
